Ascent Solar launches new series of products to BIPV/BAPV portfolio
Sep 07, 2010 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) --Ascent Solar Technologies has launched its new WaveSol series of 5m extensive modules to complement its current portfolio of building integrated, or BIPV, and construction applied photovoltaic, or BAPV, product portfolio.
The new series of products is enabled by up to date advances in the company's CIGS monolithic integration process resulting in their new 30cm x 60cm edifice blocks which are four times the size of the current building block sub-modules. The module blood consists of fewer parts that reduce overall internal power losses and significantly reduces manufacturing and testing operations, the ensemble said.
This product is designed to meet the needs of large commercial regulate rooftop installations by providing unique attributes that reduce BOS costs and abundance of integration into roofing components in a way this industry has yet to experience.
