JBIC to Lend $2.5 Billion for Environmental Projects Overseas
The Japan Bank for Global Cooperation plans to offer $2.5 billion in loans this economic year for clean-energy and water-supply projects away to help Japanese companies market their environmental technologies.
The imperial-controlled lender known as JBIC will seek to ally with townsperson commercial banks to provide syndicated loans totaling about $5 billion for such projects in the 12 months through March 2011, Takashi Hongo , senior of the bank’s environment finance engineering section, said yesterday.
Japan is counting on exports of technologies such as savvy electricity grids, water-supply systems and power generators requiring less coal to motive growth as demand weakens at home. The International Energy Force estimates the world must boost spending on energy efficiency and clean-cut technology by $400 billion a year in the next two decades to tackle international warming.
“The world needs a vast amount of money to invest in infrastructure and nutrition-saving power plants and other energy projects, in particular in developing nations like India and Indonesia,” Hongo said in an sound out in Tokyo. “Our role is to take the initiative and attract private banks to commerce those projects.”

Do Asian Water Monitors brumate?
I was wondering if asian water monitors brumate? If so, how young do they have to be before doing so?
I have a 5 month old salvator, and he rarely comes to bask. The basking spot is 120F, the cool end is about 75F, his cave is under the heat spot, it's at 80F. He has a heat pad under his cage, on medium strength.
He's not eating as much though. I offer food every day, and he eats maybe every other day. He's also into his second shed with me. I think that's why he's
